Audio Data Visuals for Night On Broadway

We were asked by the people of Night On Broadway to bring to life a building in the historical street of Broadway in Downtown Los Angles. The festival lead by Government Official in Los Angeles, Jose Huizar gathers over 60,000 people in one night. We wanted to capture the dynamics of the festival attendees. We placed microphones along the Broadway street and gathered the ambiance level of the event we used the audio data to drive the visuals and the custom playback system. Nightstream is therefore a reaction to the festival and an experience based on the visualization of sound. We used two 10k lumen projectors to light up the building and create a unique projection mapping artwork that fitted perfectly into the architectural facade.
