Reflectence Field is a Public Artwork located in the new Tykeson Hall building in the University of Oregon- Eugene. The artwork spans the four floors of the building and is fully interactive. The user is able to play the chime elements that are suspended all through the staircase. The chimes are cut to specific diameters and heights in order to produce the 5 notes of the pentatonic scale. Thus this artwork serves both as aesthetic representation of rain and as a multi user instrument that spans the architecture.
